Should You Hire a Make-Up artist?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES

The end. Just kidding, but honestly, this is something I think everyone should seriously consider for a portrait session, ESPECIALLY a maternity and/or newborn session. And here’s why.

Make-up Adds Dimension

If you’re a noob like me who knows nothing about make up, you will definitely want a pro on your side for this one. One of the most important things with making an image pop is dimension, and believe it or not, make up can add A LOT to the look and feel of you image. It can take a good portrait to a stunning portrait just with some strategic contouring. And my make up artist has studied how to make make up work for you, so leave it to the pros!

It's Less Stressful

As much as I try to make the portrait sessions as stress free as possible, there is still a lot of preparation that goes into getting the new baby ready, getting your other kids ready, getting your husband ready, and then finally getting yourself ready. That is a lot to be on one person’s plate. So, take one thing off and let someone take care of you. Show up to the studio with a blank face, wet hair, and in pajamas and we will get to work while you relax!

Let Yourself Be Pampered

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE when someone else combs my hair or does my make up. It is so relaxing to me. So not only will we make you look like the queen you are, you get to enjoy it while we do it. Pain is beauty is out the window on this one.

Hair and Makeup Add On

In my studio, you can add on hair and make up onto your session fee for a small cost. Believe me, you won’t regret it. My make up girl, Abrie Tebbs from St. George Day Spa, is amazing. She will pamper you and help you feel your most beautiful self.
